Another visitor, and uke loan!

    Evening all.

I’m visiting Amsterdam at the end of October, and have just booked to come to the UCA Wednesday Meeting on the 26th. That also happens to be the day I’m travelling over, so I will have been up since the very early morning, and therefore very likely to be in need of an afternoon nap as soon as I can get into my hotel room at 2 p.m.!

Rumour has it that uke-free visitors can borrow an instrument – a generous offer, and one I hope to take advantage of, pretty please – but I might struggle to be rousable in time to get to Uke Boutique while it’s still open. Are there any alternative means of getting my hands on a uke for the evening? I own sopranos, concerts and a tenor, so I’m flexible. In that sense, anyway.

    Counting the days . . .

    Hi Steve

I’ve alerted Candace (she runs the meetings in Amsterdam) and hopefully she’ll be in touch soon about sorting out a uke for you 🙂

    Regards

At the hotel there is a decent concert ukulele to use at the meeting, if it is for the vacation, come to the shop between 4-6 today and I can find something for you strum..

Thank you both. A decent concert ukulele is more than I deserve!

I’m going to try my best to get to the Uke Boutique while I’m there, I may even forego my traditional afternoon beers at In De Wildeman.

    Best wishes,

    Steve

    Hello again!

Thanks Candace for hosting the meeting last week. It was a good time, and I enjoyed chatting with you afterwards. I never got around to visiting the store which was a shame – a combination of limited mobility and unexpected tram diversions.

Can I come again next year?

    Best wishes,

    Steve
